The TC Engineering Slab Bar Tongs are specially designed for safe handling of slabs in all sizes from casting pit to horizontal position. Through a number of systems supplied over the last 13 years, this system have proved to be both efficient and reliable.

Safety

The TC Slab Bar handling systems have proved to be extremely reliable in operation. The system have several safety systems built into the hydraulic system. Pressure force are two times the design load. The system have two cylinders each equipped  with safety valve. In addition the system have automatic restart by pressure drops. 

Design

The Slab Bar Tongs may be adapted to fit to any casting pit with regard to length and width of slabs. The system may also be designed to handle horisontal as well as vertical slabs.
